Priced at about Rs 7-9 Lakh, Linea would be powered by a 1.3 Litre multi-jet engine with an excellent diesel economy and performance. Mahindra Xylo
Mahindra Xylo, earlier codenamed as Ingenio, is to make its debut in the Indian car market on January 13, 2009. The car would have the same engine that Mahindra Bolero has, a 2.5 Litre CRDe. This would deliver a similar power and torque of 115 bhp at 3800 rpm.
Much of the car is designed to give a competitive edge to the leading MUV, Toyota Innova, in the Indian car market. General Motors is soon to unveil the Chevrolet Cruze for the Indian car market. The car is expected to launch with a pack of innovative technologies and advanced features by the end of 2009.
The car would be available with an engine option of 1.8 Litre of petrol and 2.0 Litre of diesel. The petrol engine to deliver a power output of 140 bhp and the diesel engine with a power output of 150 bhp. It would also have an option for automatic and manual transmission.
Renault Megane
Renault Megane would be the second offering from Renault to India. The car would make its debut somewhere in mid 2009 with a price tag of Rs 12-13 Lakh.
Megane would be adorned with style, luxury, and functional technologies. Spacious interiors along with a host of technologies is sure to make the car a success in India.
